Today, in line with World Suicide Prevention Day, we’re proud to officially launch a new initiative from the Official Supporters’ Club:
BEHIND THE BADGE | REAL CONVERSATIONS. STRONGER BLUES.
Football brings us together week after week. We share the highs, the lows, the celebrations and the heartbreak — but we don’t always know what the person sitting next to us, travelling alongside us or standing on the terraces is dealing with away from football.
Behind the Badge is about creating a safe, informal and welcoming space for Blues fans to come together, grab a coffee, have a chat, listen and simply look out for one another.
There’s no judgement and no pressure. Nobody has to talk if they don’t want to. We’re not therapists or professionals — we’re simply Blues supporting Blues.
Our first event will take place:

📍 The Home Ground, St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park

Please also encourage as many of your members as possible to come along. Whether they want to talk, listen, support a friend or simply have a coffee and be around fellow Blues — everyone is welcome.

For our branches based further away from Birmingham, this is only the beginning. I’ll be in touch as we look at taking Behind the Badge into other regions and giving more of our members the opportunity to get involved closer to home.
In the meantime, even a share could make a difference. The more people we reach, the greater the chance that this gets in front of someone who might genuinely need it.
