After 2 seasons blues women finally returned to the WSL and this time as champions.

We started second a point behind Charlton and with Palace on same points but playing bottom side Portsmouth.  

After a tight start  took the lead with a far post header by Wilma Leidhammar and from then on blues were in control.  On the cusp of half time
Leidhammar hit the cross bar from a free kick.

The second half started with Charlton applying pressure before blues scored their second and decisive goal.  This time from a corner and a fantastic strike by Leidhammar 

As Charlton opened up pushing for a goal the game became more open with more opportunities for a third.   It didn’t materialise but nor did the goal from Charlton.

13 mins of injury time was flagged,  10 mins in and the final whistle went at Palace which confirmed their promotion and then que the mass celebrations
